Anthony Joshua’s management team has confirmed that all terms have been accepted for a December 3rd fight between Joshua and Tyson Fury. However, state communication between the parties has temporarily been halted due to the passing of her Majesty The Queen.
Tyson Fury recently offered Joshua a shot at his WBC heavyweight belt. After learning that an undisputed heavyweight clash with Oleksandr Usyk could not happen until next year. This was due to Usyk picking up an injury.
The bout is set to take place at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, which holds a capacity crowd of 74,500 and it looks like Team Joshua has agreed to a 60/40 split of the purse in Fury’s favor. However, a rematch clause with a 50/50 split has been rumored, should Joshua win the contest.
This would leave only the broadcasting rights left to iron out. Both parties seem fairly confident a joint PPV venture between DAZN and BT can be agreed upon. If that is the case then it seems very likely that all systems are going for a Tyson Fury v Anthony Joshua WBC world title bout. December 3rd, 2022.
