Four-division world champion Adrien Broner is set to return to the ring to fight Omar Figueroa on August 20th. ‘The problem’ Adrien Broner has been a little inactive the last few years, having only fought twice in the last four years.
His last fight was a unanimous decision victory against Jovanie Santiago In February 2021, prior to that he lost a unanimous decision in a WBA world welterweight title fight to Manny Pacquiao in January 2019.
However similar can be said of his opponent Omar Figueroa who himself has only had three fights in the last five years, losing his last two against Abel Ramos and Yordenis Ugas. The bout is set to place at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Hollywood, and will be shown live on Showtime.
At 32 years of age, Broner will be looking to quickly kick start his career and will begin that campaign at 140lbs.
